There are people who have straight hair and would love to have curly hair and there may also be people who would love to style their hair differently and have a curly effect. In today’s fashion conscious times and rapidly evolving and ever-changing fashion statements, one may want to experiment with one’s hair for a special family occasion or social occasions. One may try to use the following steps to curl hair:
1) Start the process by washing and conditioning your hair thoroughly and then use a wide toothed comb to sort out knots. You may use a children’s detangler to get rid of the knots if required. Children’s detangler is better than the adult variant.
2) If one wants the crimped look then one has to make four equal and tiny braids and secure each of them with non-slip pony tail holder. Scunci makes good brand of non-slip pony tail holders. Leave the hair in braids for the whole night and the next morning the pony tail holders are to be removed. Hair should be massaged lightly and one must not brush the hair. The hair would have been crimped by this time and one may pull the hair back and secure it in a clip.
3) If one is not looking for the crimped look then you can go for an even curlier look. This would have to be done overnight. Hair is to be washed and combed–quite similar to when one went for the crimped look, but this time after separating the hair into four parts, one has to twirl each part and form a bun with each twirled part. Each part needs to be secured with a non-slip pony tail holder and this step is to be repeated for each of the four sections. You will have to leave the hair that way over night and get used to sleeping with such buns and twirls.
4) The next morning the pony tail holders are to be removed and the hair needs to be massaged ever so lightly with finger tips. Curls would have formed by this time and one is ready with a new hair style. The curls would look similar to perm and they would remain for two to three days. However, to make sure that they do last for a couple of days, use hair spray regularly.
